And Westport Village Makes Two: Boombozz Pizza & Taphouse Announces Second Louisville Location

LOUISVILLE, KY -- December 21, 2009 -- In just 11 months, Boombozz Pizza & Taphouse has taken Louisville by storm with the opening of the Highlands locations and the soon to be opened Westport Village location.

Since making its debut in the spring this year, Boombozz Taphouse has quickly become a household name, as well as a favorite dining destination, for Louisville residents. The new Boombozz Taphouse will open in the multi-million dollar Westport Village development and will offer guests a winning concept of great food and a large selection of craft beers. "My Hometown has proven to be a fabulous market for us," said Tony Palombino, founder and chief executive officer for Boombozz Restaurants. "Westport Village is the home of several great local eating establishments and is an ideal location for Boombozz Taphouse given the demographics and its potential to become a destination for food enthusiasts. We're extremely excited to be part of something so dynamic."

The Westport Village location will span a roomy 5,000 square-feet with a guest capacity of 160 including an outdoor dining area. The interior showcases a contrasting mix of warm woods, stainless steel accents, and original artwork complete with a signature oval bar and fleet of 20 beer handles with a handful of taps pouring locally produced brews. The steel piped beer lines stretch overhead from the keg room to the signature island bar, creating a rather intricate network in which to transport the chilled liquid. In addition there will be 15 plasma screens strategically placed throughout the restaurant so guests can enjoy the latest sporting or news events. The state-of-the-art sound system will feature a library of hand-picked, digital titles of classic rock tunes with an eclectic mix of'70s and '80s hits along with contemporary music.
"Music is as equally important as our food, beer and service," says Palombino. "We take it very seriously. The one thing we don't want our guests to hear is the clatter of forks, knives and spoons, which is typical in other restaurants. We strive for our guests to have a fun and truly enjoyable experience at Boombozz Taphouse."

Adding to the ambiance is an award-winning menu created by Palombino. With a nod to his Italian heritage many of the menu items feature flavors of Italy, which are then infused with other world flavors. The menu includes a creative list of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and gourmet pizzas.

Boombozz Restaurants will continue to expand regionally when its opens in first location in Indianapolis early next year.
